Team Instructions for 2009
- 2010
- All teams
must fax in their team’s official certification/roster and a typed player list
that includes player’s numbers prior to their first league game. Failure
to do so will result in a $50.00 fine In the past several team have required
several reminders to get their certifications in, this will not happen this year! This will be your only reminder.
- All games must have three officials, failure to do so
will also result in loss of points, unless both coaches agree to start the
game with two officials. If this is
the case then both coaches shall sign the back of the game sheet and the
back must be faxed in as well. In addition,
if you travel a long way and feel you do not want to turn around and go
home please write on the front of the game sheet at the top of that this
game is being played under protest.
- People that are not on your team
certification should not be on the bench.
They are the same as an illegal player. The coach
will be suspended.
- Postponed games MUST be rescheduled within four weeks of the date of
the original game. In addition the
league need to be notified within 7days of the original game the new date.
Failure to comply will result in
fines for both teams. Games can only be rescheduled once or a fine will
result.
- Game changes must be faxed or emailed to the Major Hockey League
Office. DO
NOT PHONE THEM IN!
- Please read the constitution on the
web page there are new guidelines in regards to canceling games due to
illness and as well about ice cleaning.
It is your responsibility to know your constitution. It is suggested you print off a
constitution and carry it with you.
- The league is to end on February 7 for
Pee Wee and up, and Jan 17th for Novice and Jan 31 for Atom there will be No week following this for
makeup games. All league games must
be finished by the deadline or teams may not enter playoffs. As well, no playoff series will start
until all league games are completed
- Game sheets are to be faxed in the
night of the game, There is a fine for late game sheets. Game sheets must be legible and filled
out completely or they will be returned. New game sheet books have
examples.
- All overage players are to be
designated on the game sheet as O/A.
There is a 10 game rule. If
in the first 10 games you find a player that you do not feel is eligible
to be an overage then you must contact your commissioner and it will be
investigated. Your presidents have
the list of overage players.
- All teams must submit an AP list to the league by December 15, if you do not send one by this date you will not be
able to use AP’s. You may add and
delete from that list until January 10, after that date your AP list is
frozen.
- Teams are to forward their questions
and concerns to their commissioner, if the commissioner cannot answer your
question then he will call the president.
- All suspensions will be posted on the
web site, and will not be faxed.

- Each team must provide the league with
an email address as we will deal in emails as much as possible.
- Mouth guards are not mandatory this
year.
- Bantam and Midget will have an all
star game. Details on your table.
- Adult goal judges will be required for
Bantam and Midget playoffs
